9:0 in the test match

Nuremberg – They didn’t have much time at the 1. FC Nuremberg to prepare for their test match opponent. After Wacker Innsbruck because of some Corona cases in the team had canceled the meeting agreed for Thursday at the Valznerweiher at short notice, had just very spontaneously FK Pribram stepped in. "A few video scenes" of the Czech second division team had Robert Klaub still quickly studied, "but we did not know exactly how the level is to be estimated."90 one-sided minutes later one was smarter: There the club had overrun the overtaxed guests with 9:0 (4:0).
But as it is with test matches, the result is always at best a negligible side note. Klaub wanted to use the game in an unusually early international break mainly to give his reservists playing practice. He had therefore deliberately refrained from using talents from the U19 or U21 teams, both of which are currently preparing for the tournament. In addition, the coach also wanted to "try something tactically to be more flexible". This then looked like a three-man chain with Noel Knothe, Christopher Schindler and Tim Handwerker was primarily responsible for defending, while in front of quite deliberately seven players with "offensive thoughts" should build pressure.
What they did then. Although the guests missed the first big chance on a counterattack (10.), but then Dennis Borkowski opened the scoring with a header after a corner was extended by Schindler (16.). Lukas Schleimer with a worth seeing lob over the goalkeeper (32.) and Taylan Duman with a double hit (39., 40.) ensured clear conditions even before the break. The thirteenth-placed team in the Fortuna Narodni Liga, which recently appointed long-time club pro Marek Nikl as co-trainer, should hardly have complained about a 0:8 deficit in view of the numerous other great Nuremberg chances.
Shuranov scores twice
After the change it was Erik Shuranov who scored with a converted penalty (46.) and – after a brief period of idling – a well-placed low shot into the left corner (70.) was also allowed to cheer twice. The substitutes Nikola Dovedan (74.), Asger Sorensen (82.), who formed the three-man line in the second half together with Knothe and Johannes Geis, as well as Manuel Schaffler (86.) screwed the result finally still into an almost two-digit height.
"It was good that we had a very high tempo over 90 minutes and played purposefully forward," praised a satisfied Klaub, "that’s why it’s fun today made."Whether the spontaneous sparring partner from the Czech Republic also felt the same way is rather doubtful.
Nuremberg: Klaus; Knothe, Schindler (46. Geis), Handwerker (46. Sorensen) – Duman (71. Schleimer), Kraub (46. Latteier) – Castrop, Borkowski – Schleimer (46. Rausch) – Kopke (46. Schaffler), Shuranov (71. Dovedan).
