Installation of remote thermometer& probe!

The other day I had a "short" look I set about installing my new remote thermometer! Well, there I have me however temporally "beautifully the maps put"!
That’s why I thought, why don’t you write an installation guide, so that others don’t have to suffer the same fate?! The photos are unfortunately only from the cell phone, therefore the poor quality!

After a tedious "search I found a post here that had a link to a post that showed the installation position of the thermo sensor,
it is based on Picture 1 to see! At the bottom of the cylinder head (quasi at the lower end of the injector) is a bushing with an opening to the right in the direction of the injector
blower, there the feeler is screwed in!

Unfortunately, the whole thing is not so easy, because firstly the probe is very long and secondly you must not bend the capillary line too much!
You have to remove the cover plate between the cooling fan and the cylinder head. That’s easier said than done, for that you have to
remove or at least loosen the cooling fan, but this can only be done after disassembling the housing part, which on the one hand contains the belt drive,
The other is the battery, to which the air filter is attached! If you want to remove it completely, you have to take off the engine hood
if you just "tilt" it like me wants Picture 2, is it enough if you tighten the three screws at the bottom on each side and then the rear ones too

If everything runs well, it is enough to loosen the retaining clip of the cooling fan and to remove the V-belt to have then the cooling fan so far movable,
to remove the cover plate, if you have previously loosened the three screws located on the side. If this is not enough, as it was with me, then you must
loosen the cooling fan buck on which the cooling fan sits. These are then again three screws. But now you can remove the cover plate Picture 4& 5
and could finally screw the sensor into the socket Picture 6!

But wait, that good piece must now first be moved there! So you have to remove the old remote thermometer (if still installed),
then the new thread Picture 7 and the sensor through the empty pipe under the tank Picture 8 pull forward Picture 9. at the same time please do not bend the capillary line.
Now you can screw in the sensor but you should be careful, because as always, after tight comes off (or in this case broken),
that is why I have not completely "sunk" the feeler picture 10.

Now you assemble everything in reverse order and half the day is already over.

Hello,
looks good. How many mm diameter is the part? Looking for a long time a clock, oil temperature or engine temperature and voltmeter for our Deutz. Have still 3 connections in the amature free. Where did you get this? I need some with ca. 60mm total diameter.

The remote thermometer is available from the usual spare parts dealers such as z.b. Jehle or Panhuis! On Ebay there are also some floating around but that would be too windy for me!

Unfortunately it’s not that easy, because the sensor is very long and you can’t bend the capillary too much!
You have to remove the cover plate between the cooling fan and the cylinder head. It’s easier said than done, for that you have to
remove the cooling fan or at least loosen it, but that can only be done after dismantling the housing part, which on the one hand the belt drive,
on the other hand surrounds the battery and to which is attached the air filter! If you want to remove it completely, you have to dismantle the hood
if you just "tip" it like me wants picture 2, it is enough if you screw the three screws at the bottom on each side and then the rear ones

to remove the cover plate, if you have loosened the three screws on the side beforehand. If that should not be enough, as with me, then one must
loosen the cooling fan bracket on which the cooling fan sits. That is then again three screws. Now you can remove the cover plate Picture 4& 5
and could finally screw the probe in the socket Picture 6!

But wait, that good piece must be moved there now first of all! So we have to remove the old remote thermometer (if still installed),
then thread in the new one Picture 7 and the sensor through the empty pipe under the tank Picture 8 to the front Picture 9. Please do not kink the capillary line.
Now you can screw in the probe, but you should be careful, because as always, after tight comes off (or in this case broken),
that’s why I didn’t "sink" the sensor completely Image 10.

Now we assemble everything in reverse order and half the day is already over.
